Biocircular products – ISCC mass balance

As part of our efforts to develop more circular material solutions, we offer select products made from biocircular raw materials (ISCC mass balance-attributed).

Through the ISCC mass balance system, certified biocircular raw material flows can be attributed to products throughout the value chain. The mass balance principle makes it possible to use certified alternative raw material streams within existing production systems, without the need to establish separate production systems.

The biocircular raw material that forms the basis of our certified material stream comes from Finnish pine oil, a byproduct of the forest industry.

By utilizing existing production processes, we can offer products made with certified biocircular raw materials while maintaining the products’ quality and functionality.

Our goal is to continue developing our material alternatives and increase the proportion of products made with biocircular raw materials.
