At Hammarplast Medical, we see sustainability as a central part of our vision for the future. We strive to be a driving force in the transition towards a more sustainable society, and we take our responsibility to reduce our environmental impact seriously.

Our main focus:

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by increasing production and sales of products made from fossil-free raw materials.

As an ISCC certified manufacturer, we produce sustainable plastic products according to the mass balance principle, which means we can ensure traceability and responsible use of sustainable raw materials. ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) is a globally recognized certification for sustainable and circular material flows. Through this system, we can offer products where part of the fossil plastic is replaced by certified bio-based or recycled raw materials - without compromising on quality or performance.

Our sustainability measures include:

✅ Regional sourcing for reduced transport emissions, shorter lead times and more sustainable production.
✅ FSC-labeled packaging to ensure that our packaging materials come from responsible forestry.
✅ Participation in projects for circular solutions, where we develop the sustainable materials and production methods of the future.

We are certified according to ISO 14001 and see it as a matter of course to constantly improve our environmental work through new innovations and efforts.

Hammarplast Medical shall work effectively to protect the environment, by:

• Comply with applicable legislation and requirements and cooperate with authorities.

• Analyze, select and implement what is environmentally justified, technically feasible and economically reasonable in the context of investments.
• Seek solutions from a life-cycle perspective that have a lower overall environmental impact and promote sustainability.
• Work to reduce the relative consumption of raw materials and energy and reduce the relative amount of waste.
• By working with suppliers whose products have a significant environmental impact, encourage them to work to reduce their environmental impact.
• Train and inform employees to actively participate in environmental work.
• Take actions that lead to continuous improvement.
